30th July 1937.  Another perfect day, hotter & more misty & less breeze (E-NE) than on 29th.  No clouds after a misty morning.

Left Curracloe & drove home to Dublin via Enniscorthy & Arklow: stopped for lunch under trees at St. Edans, 1/2 mile E. of Ferns, Co. WX., & did some sweeping.  Then drove straight home, arriving about 4 P.M.

All insects taken by sweeping & all in shade, either in plantation belt along main road or under clump of trees in "park", except a few swept between clump & road & in full sun.  Insects very abundant under clump, scarcer next road.

Bombus lucorum numerous [[male symbol, male symbol]] seen coursing around.
B. agrorum [[juvenile symbol, juvenile symbol]] seen.
Vespa sp. (? vulgaris) seen.
