8th August 1937. A fine hot day with much sun & little (W.) wind.

Drove to Coan, Glen of Imaal, Co. WI.
Walked over Camara Hill & up North Prison to side of tarn & "Parsley Fern" growing in rock cleft just above same, 2,200 to 2,300 ft. alt.
Collected by sweeping from about 1,000 ft. upward & made special collection at 2,200, around the tarn; also collected for half an hour in plantation just above the Coan-Slaney road after tea.
Heavy rain that night commencing at midnight!

West slope of Lugnaquillia, from Camara Hill up the "North Prison" to the site of the tarn (above the last moraine!) at about 2,200 feet, Co. WI.
12 noon till 2.0 P.M. George also collecting : all insects taken by sweeping.

[35 kept & then labelled. [Lug. 1-2000 Co. WI. AWS or GMS 8.8.37.] 26 G.M.S. 9 A.W.S.]

Amblyteles 1 black & yellow [[male symbol]]: to me similar to that named A. longigena Th. by Dr. Roman, from Herdstown Co. Down. I believe this was common on slopes of Camara Hill, but I only brought one home. AWS 1938.

Phaeogenes ? 1 [[male symbol]], black, red legs.
