After bad weather, but two fine days previously, with torrential rain & thunder on Sat. evening, this, Sunday, morning a perfect day, but cooler, N.W. breeze, & very hot sun. Heavy showers again in aft. & evening. On duty in Museum in aft. Glenasmole, Co. DU. 10 A.M. till 12.30 noon. 1 = W. of lower reservoir by hut & between Moore's lodge & upper dam. 2 = N.W. corner of upper reservoir beside the boat-house. [57 from 1 { 15 from 2 { & 11 more from 1 { labelled 5.4.39 et seq.] Far too wet to sweep & apparently little out, till Daisy discovered that the laurels (dripping wet though they were) were covered with Icks. & Braconids, &c.
