6th Oct. 1937. Left Dublin by car at 9.15 AM & drove to Tullaghan via Summerhill, Killucan, Longford, Boyle & Sligo. After three perfect summer days the morning was dull, sunny in Co. Stopped to collect in plantation belt N. of road, opposite Lisnabin Castle, 1 1/2 miles NW of Killucan, Co. Westmeath, & by roadside N. of Castle Forbes, Co. LF.
