Hemiteles (testaceous abd.)  1 [[female symbol]].
Stenomacrus confinis ?  1[[female symbol]].  Radius nearly straight in [[female symbol]], quite curved in [[male symbol]], but certainly [[male symbol]] & [[female symbol]] of same species.  AWS. 6.11.39

Promethes scutellaris  1 [[female symbol]].
Plectiscus  1 [[female symbol]].
Entelechia suspiciosa  1 [[male symbol]]
Opius cingulatus, 1 small [[male symbol]], with 30-seg. ant.

17th Oct. 1937 (Sunday).  Dull & dry, as 16th.

While Miss Eccles & M.D.S. in church walked across the Finner dunes to R. Erne:  took several Braconids in hollow on edge of cliff over river, but none swept, as cold wind (SW) kept them too low.

In early afternoon set insects, but went out for walk after afternoon-tea along cliffs towards Bunduff & took three very large [[female symbol]] Phaenocarpa conspurcator on cow-pats at dusk (just before 6 P.M.).

Dunes at Finner, Co. ED.  11.30 - 12.30 noon.

Bombus lucorum & lapidarius [[juvenile symbol, juvenile symbol]] frequent on ragwort near road.

Blacus ruficornis ? 1 [[male symbol]], very small & dark!!
Alloea contracta  1 [[female symbol]], wings rather short.
Aspilota grandipenis ?  1 [[female symbol]], 21 seg. ant.; ? a small specimen of this species: wings large & clear at date of labelling: mandible very powerful.  AWS.  8.11.1939.

Coast SW. of Tullaghan, Co. LE.  5.30 - 6.30 P.M.

Phaenocarpa conspurcator  3 large [[female symbol, female symbol]] (mt on same card) taken with sucker off a cow-pat (probably several days old!) on path along edge of cliffs.
