Nov. 1937. Did not collect at all during last 3 weeks of this month, owing chiefly to not being well & partly because tied by visit to Dublin for a fortnight by Prof. E.A. Tratman, on leave from Singapore (formerly of Bristol).

Pink wild Primrose from Kilkenny district in garden showed first flower on 29/11/37. Weather very mile on the whole, some rain & an occasional frosty night, but no severe weather of any sort & some beautiful days.

Dec. 1937. Unwell all month & under doctor's care most of time. Did not return to work after over 3 weeks sick leave till after Xmas holidays.
