swept corner of field S. of St. Anne's church & patch of Cow Parsnip by ford over river near Moore's garden (= 2);  then swept under trees between More's garden & river & along same to its entrance to lower reservoir;  & under trees near the hut on W. side of lower reservoir (= 3).  A very nice rosy (? canina X tomentosa) in full flower (flowers pink & white like canina) on E. side of upper reservoir above St. Anne's church:  looks like canina but has very glandular petioles:  next day when shrivelled looked like tomentosa (in leaf).

Did not look for aculeates & saw none of interest:  saw no [[juvenile symbol]] Bombi & some quite fresh [[female symbol]] agrorum.  
Anteon sp. 1 [[male symbol]] at 2
Vespa norvegica [[female symbol]] seen at 1.
Dolerus nigratus seen at 1.
D. aeneus also.
D. palustris [[male symbol, male symbol]] & [[female symbol, female symbol]] at horsetails at 1.

Loderus vestigialis [[checkmark]] ? [[male symbol]] & [[female symbol]] at 1, some very dark legs.

Pachyprotasis rapae seen.

Empria  1 black [[female symbol]], not kept.
Pteronidea oligospila ?  1 [[male symbol]] at 1.
Pteronidea (dark [[male symbol]] like small miliaris or ferruginea at 1)

Dineura testaceipes ?? 1 [[male symbol]]

Cratichneumon sp.  2 [[male symbol, male symbol]], face black, [[?orbits]] white-marked.
