12th June 1938. A poor day, dull & chilly in afternoon after a sultry morning.

Charles Olaham & Mr. O. with us for week-end on their way back to England. Did not go out in morning. In afternoon drove to The Curragh, Co. KD., & did a little sweeping along E side of railway between two bridges over same, but conditions not favourable.

13th June 1938. A very hot day & much hot sun in late afternoon, NW breeze. The first real summer day of the season. Drove in aft. to Glenasmole & did some sweeping in various places. Many insects out but more Ichnumon than Braconids; though owing to being without my glasses I may have missed some of the latter.

Glenasmole, Co. DU.
