Stenomacrus (Neuratiles ?) (looks like an elongate [[strikethrough]] = S. Neurateles [[?britteni]] Waterston [[striekthrough]] Orthocentrus but with no areolet, &c.) at 1 = same sp. as 2 [[male symbol, male symbol]] & [[female symbol]] taken here on 25.5.38.
St. 1 [[male symbol]], at 3, 31-seg. ant.
St. curvicaudatus  1 [[female symbol]] at 1.

Stenomacrus (Neurateles) n. sp. echinipygus miki  1 [[female symbol]] at 3 has 1st seg. of abd. narrowed to apex & apical segments of same coarsely pilose, almost bristly;  head narrowed behind eyes & deeply emerginate behind.
= ? Nerateles brittteni Waaterston.

Aphaereta major  1 [[female symbol]] at 3, with rudimentary disco-dubital nerve.
Aspilota praecipua ?  1 fine [[male symbol]] at 2.
A. fulvicornis  1 [[female symbol]] at 1.

A. liogaster n. sp. 1 [[female symbol]] (Type!) & 1 [[male symbol]] at 1;  with smooth petiole.  2 [[female symbol]] terebra 2/3 abd., &c.  A.W.S. 26.1.1940!  This [[male symbol]] & [[female symbol]] Aspilota have peculiar features in common, smooth post-petiole, short antennae, & 2nd cubital cell narrowed at open, with angle near base at lower side, &c., therefore I think they are sexes of a near specis near falsifica miki.  AWS. 25/1/1940.

A. near uvlgaris but ant. longer & 21-segmented  1 [[female symbol]] at 1.
A. rufata ?  1 [[male symbol]] at 2.
A. cynipidis  1 [[female symbol]] at 2, rather large, 21-seg. ant.

Hemiptera 2 at 1 = Gastrodes ferruginea L. on pine below lower dam.  Psallus betuleti Fall.
Beetle: at 3 = Gastrovidea polygoni L.


14th June 1938.  Put C.O. & Mr. O. on boat at Kingstown at 8.30 A.M.  This was the last time I ever saw C.O. & he died early in 1942!
A hot day, but dull except in afternoon.

In garden, 14 Clareville Rd., saw first [[male symbol]] Megachile (M. centuncularis) in post & also Pemphredon lugubris & some [[male symbol, male symbol]] Hylaeus communis as well as hundreds of Crabro varius & some C. leucostomus, which are nesting in old stump, though the Tits tried to [[?caterment]] them during the winter.
