13th July 1938.  Drizzle started at 8 AM. from S.W. & continued till past midnight getting heavier & heavier as afternoon advanced.  No collecting possible.


14th July 1938.  A fine day, with showers in late afternoon, but vegetation still very wet in morning after previous days rain.  Spent morning at Faslane, along road to Glenfruin, & the afternoon walking from Peaton on Loch Long back to Garelochhead.  Collected in several places along roadside going up the hill
