6. 31.7.38 cont. Coast S. of Tullaghan, Co. LE. Swept in fields on top of cliff about 1 mile S. of village. [7 specimen kept: labelled 28/2/40/AWS] Bombus lapidarian ☿ ☿ [[note]] seen B. agrorum & lucorum frequent [B. jonellus 1 ♂ seen on C. palustris late in evening of 30/7/38]. Anteon 1 ♂. Bracon? ?epitriptus 1 ♂, black legged form, with 32 seg. ant. Apanteles fulcatus? 1 ♂, 1 ♀ . Proctos - 2 := Dipteron: yellow - marked . 1 = 7. 1 August 1938. A perfect day, warm, gentle NW breeze & much sun. Spent morning at Bunduff Strand & the afternoon at Streedagh, Co. SL., but the results disappointing. Only 10 specimen kept & these labelled on 29/2/40. A.W.S. Bunduff, coast N of outlet of Bunduff Lough, Co. SL. 11 A.M. till 1 P.M. Bombus lucorum & agrorum ☿ ☿ frequent B. lapidarius 1 ☿ seen. B. jonellus 1 ♂ seen & examined. Mellinus arvensis very abundant on open dunes next sea, where Coltsfoot grass. Pompilus plumbeus ♂ ♂ & ♀ ♀ seen. P. gibbus 1 ♀ examined. Ceropalus maculatus 1 examined Oxybelus uniglumis? 1 ♂ seen, presumably this Bethylus cephalotes? 1 large ♀ . B. fuscicornis 2 small brachypterus. Aphelopus? 1 ♂ PTO
