A perfect day, warm, gentle NW breeze & much sun.
Spent morning at Bunduff Strand & the afternoon at Streedagh, Co. SL., but the results disappointing.
Only 10 specimen kept & these labelled on 29/2/40. A.W.S.

Bunduff, coast N of outlet of Bunduff Lough, Co. SL.  11 A.M. till 1 P.M.

Bombus lucorum & agrorum ☿ ☿ frequent
B. lapidarius  1 ☿ seen.
B. jonellus  1 ♂ seen & examined.
Mellinus arvensis very abundant on open dunes next sea, where Coltsfoot grass.
Pompilus plumbeus ♂ ♂ & ♀ ♀ seen.
P. gibbus  1 ♀ examined.
Ceropalus maculatus  1 examined
Oxybelus uniglumis?  1 ♂ seen, presumably this
Bethylus cephalotes?  1 large ♀ .
