A very hot day, NE Breeze, hazy, very humid.
In morning drove to Rosnowlagh, Co. WD. & spent an hour in dunes at N. end of strand:  in afternoon went to Trawalua, Cliffony, Co. SL., & spent about four hours along old track through the "jungle", as often before.

11·30 - 12·30 noon.
Stream & swampy pools in dunes between "Lower Rosnowlagh" & sea, Co. WD.
[Only 10 insects kept: those labelled 1/3/40 or earlier! AWS.]

Opius (short terebra)  1 ♀, near lugens
Dacnusa esbelta  3 ♂, ♂, 1 ♀ kept;  common along water of pool in stream
D. polita-nigra miki  1 ♂, with last.
