Another very hot day, nearly all sunny, but with fresh E. breeze.
Did not go out till after lunch, then went up the "bog road" to gravel pit & swept nearby fields on same & opposite side of road;  after afternoon tea swept Miss Eccles's old walled garden for half an hour;  & finally at sunset swept E & N sides of front hay field till the dew fell about 10 P.M.

Boggy fields on each side of road, 1/2 mile SE of Tullaghan, Co. LE.  3.0 - 4.0 P.M.

Bombus muscorum  1 fresh [[juvenile symbol]] seen

Only 3 specimens kept, as follows:-

Anteon  1 [[male symbol]]

Dacnusa gilvipes  1 large [[female symbol]].

Chalcid:  very quaint, stalked abdomen, testaceous & black sp., about 2mm long.
