A few insects swept on way up to cliffs at Peakadaw from old road at 500,-700 ft. & one Platylabus pallidens? [[male symbol]] taken at part of cliffs at about 1,000;  but insects not really looked for.
[Only 12 insects kept & these labelled 23/3/1940! AWS.]

Bombus agrorum & lucorum seen.
Platylabus pallidens?  1 [[male symbol]] at about 1,000 ft.
Hemiteles pseudominutus?  1 [[female symbol]]: very like a Stenomacrus in neuration.
Phygadeuon  1 [[female symbol]]
Stenomacrus cupiceps?  1 [[female symbol]]
?[[?Dirites clishae]] Bdg. or Omorga cursitans?  Black & white hind tibiae, 2 [[male symbol, male symbol]], 1 [[female symbol]].  Areolet in forewings missing in [[female symbol]] & in 1 [[male symbol]], doubtful in other [[male symbol]].
Apanteles infimus? [[female symbol]]
Pentapleura pumilio [[male symbol]].
Dacnusa areolaris  1 [[male symbol]], 20-seg. ant.
Ephedrus validus  2 nice [[female symbol, female symbol]]

Two "icks" found in laurel tube without label, so ? taken on this (Tullaghan) trip or ? in tube since I was collecting about Dublin.  Labelled ? Dublin or Tullaghan!  AWS. 22/3/40.

Aspilota surcularius??  1 [[female symbol]].
Plectiscid: = Megastylus group?  very small, 19-seg. ant.

12th August 1938.

After a doubtful morning & a shower, a very nice day, but cooler & wind variable, mainly NW., with showers about in late afternoon.
Spent 2 hours in "forenoon" at Trawalua, Co. SL., in afternoon drove to Lough Eske Castle, Co. WD. (i.e. on W. side of outlet of L.. Eske!).

11.30 AM till 1.30 P.M.
Trawalua, Co. SL.
All swept on S. side of track through jungle.

Spilomena trogolodytes  1 [[female symbol]], close to where Nixon swept two in 1933.
