13th August 1938.  Left Tullaghan at 11.10 AM for Dublin; stopped for lunch & collecting on W. side of Lough Key, Co. RO., 1.0 till 2.0 P.M. but did not collect otherwise on journey to Dublin:  passed through an [[extensive?]] cold jam with drizzle to heavy rain between Edgeworthstown & Kinnegad, otherwise warm & mainly sunny for the greater part of the journey.  Wind NW at Tullaghan & appeared so till cold patch reached, then NE, with scarcely any about Enfield & Maynooth:  NE-E from that into Dublin.

Fields between road & lake, as well as lake shore, Lough Key, west side, Co. RO., about 1 mile S of Corrigeenroe on way to Boyle. 

Pteronidea dispar??, very green when alive with yellowed tip to abd. 1;♀ on alder seedling by lake shore.
Bombus lucorum & agrorum only seen.
Hemiteles aperta?  1 small ♂. H. sp. red  1 ♂.
Lissonota errabunda? 1♀, rather large.
Zootrephus [[suspiciosus?]]  1♀.
