29th  Lepl.[[?]] 1938. After a very not [[?]] night + very fine afternoon a jam formed in wind turnig [[turning]] SE., from W, at 2.30 P.M. fillosed[[?]] & local driggs[[?]] is very heavy rain. Collecting therefore almost impossible in most places. Dim[[?]] at 2.30 to Nillrids[[?]]  + spent half an hour under trees on west[[?]] slope of Dowry, Co, WI., there on to George Bridge on the Seany[[?]], + finally to Kilranelagh, 3 miles NE of Baltinglass, Co. WI. In each place took [[?]] a fair hymenoptern[[hymenopteran?]] by mecpin[[?]], but vegetation in most places quite too wet to[[?]] touch.
 Called on my home[[?]] at Pealaflonca[[?]] + bright George home at earing[[?]] of his "job" there on new dam.
