120. 6.11.38 cont. Devils Glen, Co. WI., cont. Dacnusa laevipectus 1♂, 3 or 4♀♀: the only Dacnusid seen. Aphidius sp. 1 only: a small ♂, with dark legs. Proctotrupids frequent: only [[strikethrough]] a few [[/strikethrough]] 10 kept. Hemipteron:- NB. Oak still in full leaves owing to autumnal growth after early drought. Salis sp. & alder & hazel also with leaves; but birch mainly bare. Many trees uprooted, probably by gale early in Oct. Again visited site of former colony of Formica rufa but no sign of this ant. 121. 9th [[strikethrough]] Oct. [[/strikethrough]] Nov. 1938. Slade of Saggart, Co. DU. A poor afternoon, dull & windy (SW), cool, but very dry & vegetation dry enough to sweep, which is very rare at this time of year, except in a few open spots in shelter. Insects very numerous, especially Stenomacrus ventralis & Plectiscids. 3.0 till 4.0 P.M. [Only 12 kept (9 from "1" & 3 from "2", but no note made as to what "1" & "2" mean & I can't remember] A.W.S. 14.12.1940. Pezomachus 1♀ at 1. Stenomacrus (nemateles) cf. pusillus 1♀ at 1 St. ridibundus 1♂, 1♀ at 1 St. ventralis, see note above: none kept. St. cubiceps} 1♀, 24. seg. ant. at 1} St. cubiceps} 1♀, 27. seg. ant. at 1} Apanteles fulvipes? 1♀ at 2, or cf circumscriptus? Blacus trivialis? small, 1♀ at 1, with 17 & 18. seg. ant. owing last segment being split in the antenna. Aspilota radialis? 1♂ at 2. Dacnusa gilvipes 1♀ at 1, very late date for this sp.
