Taken in St. Anne's, Clontarf, Co. DU. on 12th March 1939 by E. O'Mahony.

Dacnusa areolaris var.? The same dark-legged form as referred to on p.132 ante; but 2♂♂ & 1♀ this time. The ♂ (only 1 kept) has 21 seg. ant., while the ♀, which was very freshly emerged has 23 seg. ant. Nixon states that while maculipes may have 23 seg. ant. he had never seen areolaris with this number, yet, although the above specimens agree better with maculipes in this character of the ♀ & in the colour of the legs, they have no trace of sternauli & the stigma is long & not swollen apically as in maculipes.

Epitomus pygmaeus 1 rather reddish ♀.

C.W. Allen reported 4♀♀ Bombus lucorum seen on 12.3.39 in Bot. Gardens & E. O'Mahony 1 ♀ ditto at Dollymount.
