Beetle: 1 small "Staph" = 1.6.39 P.M. Walked along coast but did not collect. 2.6.39 A.M. A few insects collected in Golf Links at Ballycastle, AN., at 10 AM. Myrmica scabrinodis [[juvinile symbol]] Cymodusa cruentata? 1♂, 2♀♀, with red legs though 1♀ has some white beneath antennae near base. 169. 2nd June 1939 Driven by A.H. Davison to cliffs above Ruebane, Murlough Bay, Co. AN., where spent day. Very hot & quite cloudless, with cool breeze off sea. Very few insects out & sweeping in shade of woods almost useless, while too hot in open for serious work. Murlough Bay, AN. 7 pinned & 31 carded during Jan. 1941 or before & labelled 5.2.41! AWS. Bombus lucorum ♀♀. B. agrorum ♀♀. B. muscorum 1♀. B. hortorum 2♀♀. B. jonellus 1♀ seen. Andrena fucata ♂ A. jacobi v. scotica 1♀ seen on hawthorn [A. subopaca 1♀, almost certainly this, seen at bank of stream] Nomada "ruficornis" 1♀= ruficornis of my first list, 1927. N. flavoguttata 1♀ seen, & another ♀ taken. Pompilus nigerrimus 1♂ by stream above wood. Myrmica ruginodis seen: 1 [[juvenile symbol]] taken.
