A. sp. near vulgaris but larger, 4♂♂ (ant. 23-24), 1♀ (ant. 19).

A. (Synaldis) concolor  1 small & 1 large ♂ (ant. 20 & 21).

Disogmus nigripennis?  ♂.  This agrees best with Nixon's (1938!) diagnosis cf nigripennis ♂, but the specimen is reddish & the notauli quite die out before they meet.  AWS. 25/12/1941.

5.6.39 P.M.  8-9 P.M.
Walked along strand to Bath Lodge, Ballycastle, AN.

Took 1♀ Melobosis   & saw another at sea-edge of dunes, same species as taken in dunes on morning of 2.6.39 I think.  Daisy found a Procto ( ) running amongst tidal fringe, where I also took a beetle (Pterostichus nigrita?) & on return found a drowned ♀ Abia candens just washed up by the sea.
