After a misty morning, a perfect day, nearly all sunny, very hot with fresh N. breeze.  George arrived from London at 8.45 AM.

In forenoon walked to Col. Grants = Inverdruie!, 1 mile SE of Aviemore, & did some sweeping along left bank of R. Druie where are beautiful gravel flats for Aculeates, but few seen.

Under trees by main road from Aviemore to Inverdruie & between road & R. Druie = 2

Hemiteles  1♀, with small wings & 17-seg. ant.
H.  1♂ larger but near the last, 20-seg. ant.

Promethes sulcator  1♂
Stenomacrus cf. sylvaticus??  1♂, with 28-seg. ant.
Perilitus:  a large black ♂ with 28-seg. ant. = P.
Perilitus:  a small reddish ♀, with red head & 20-seg. ant. = P.
Meteorus abdominator?  1 small♀, with almost interstitial recurrent nerve & 24-seg. ant.
Blacus  ♂, 19-seg. ant. of which 3rd is slender & red near trivialis but? that species

Macrocentrus "n. sp. of Lyle"  1♀
