25-6-39, Forenoon cont.

Trientalis, but no Luzula sylvatica.

In afternoon again walked to Coylum Bridge then on to Achnahatich [[Achnahatnich]] & back via Coylum Bridge & "The Dell" to Inverdruie & home. Saw in the Druie valley extraordinary signs of the havoc caused by a spate of two years ago, which wrecked the whole floor of the valley. A few plants of interest seen:- Arctostaphylos uva-ursi growing
by the roadside above Coylum Bridge; Pyrola minor, a beautiful group of tall spikes in a small Sphagnum swamp by road [[strikethrough]] at [[/strikethrough]] near Aghnahatich [[Achnahatnich]], where also some Trientalis &c. on moraine, Genista anglica in seed & also again in flower. Swept a couple of Salvia aurita near Aghnahatich [[Achnahatnich]] & also Alders, S. aurita & birch near "The Dell", about 3 insects at first place & 7 or 8 in the latter. Saw several ♀♀ Bumbles of which one was B. muscorum & the remainder
