Path through woods (mainly pine plantation) at Ben Damph House, Torridon, Ross West [= RW] 5 till 6 P.M.  Very windy in open & grass, &c., rather wet after shower, but insects frequent in shelter.
79 specimens taken & these labelled 30/9/1941 AWS.

Bombus lucorum  ♀♀ & ☿☿ common on raspberry & blackberry flowers at edge of wood.
B. hortorum  1♀ at Delphinium in garden at "Bay View".
B. muscorum  ♀♀ & ☿☿, a few, with lucorum.
B. pratorum  1☿ on blackberry flower with last.
Anteon  1♂.
Allantus calceatus  1♀, with abortive wings.
Barichneumon albicinctus (= locutor Thumb.) ♂, var. anus black.
