About 185 specimens labelled 15/10/41 et seq.:  those from "3" labelled "(3) 4.7.39" but those from 1 & 2 not distinguished & labelled merely "4.7.39":  all labelled simply "Kinlochewe: Ross West. AWS."  AWS. 23/10/1941!

Bombus lucorum  ♀♀ seen } on hillsides
B. jonellus  ♀♀ seen } on hillsides
B. muscorum  ♀♀ } on hillsides
B. hortorum  1♀ on Foxglove at 2, as on 3rd
Psithyrus quadricolor  1♀ on raspberry flowers at 3.
Andrena or Halictus ruficinctus  ♀ seen on stone & later on Sax. aigoides at 3.
Crabro varius frequent about 1 & 2.
C. dimidiatus  1♀ at 2, on alder
C. sp.? seen at 2: possibly leucostomus
Odynerus pictus  1♂ twice seen at 2; & also what may have been a ♀ of same species seen in distance at same place.

Promethes dorsalis  2♂♂ at 1, both bearing tyloides on 8 segments of the antennae & one with tergites 3 & 4 all red & without the usual [[image]] diamond-shaped black mark in the middle thereof & thus the latter is quite unlike any specimen I have taken in Ireland!  AWS. 22/10/41.
