30th Aug. 1939, afternoon.

A lovely day, hazy & very warm, with cool easterly breeze, strong in Liffey valley but none (to gently) at Landenstown.

Drove to Grand Canal, just E. of Landerstown House, Co. KD; as before collected by sweeping at 3 places:-
1 = Drain S. of canal, under trees of plantation 1/4 mile E. of lock.
2 = S. side of canal at same place.
3 = S. side of canal from plantation to loch at gate of Landenstown Ho.

[9 from 1, 7 from 2 & 15 specimens from 3 mounted & these labelled 25/3/42!]

Phygadeuon  1 [[female symbol]], antennae 19-segmented, at 1.
Exolytus  [[female symbol]], at 2, ant 24-seg.
Polyblastus variatarsis  [[female symbol]], carrying nearly 20 larval sacs, at 1.
Polyblastus or Erromenus? sp.  [[male symbol]] at 1, with 29-seg. ant.
Mesolieus sp.  [[male symbol]] at 1, ant 36-seg. ant.
Perilissus subcinctus?  [[female symbol]], no areolet (? accidental), ant. 30-seg., at 3.
Porizonid or Thersilochid?  1 [[female symbol]] at 3, with red abd. & long terebra, ant. 28-seg.
Porizonid?? Gen. et sp.?  1 [[female symbol]] at 2, with 20-seg., thick, reddish, almost clubbed antennae.
Entelechia suspiciosa  [[male symbol]] at 1.

Ademon decrescens, a small black [[female symbol]] at 3.
Opius aemulus?  [[female symbol]], with 27-seg. ant., at 1.
Aphaereta tenuicornis  smaller [[male symbol]] at 1, larger [[male symbol]] at 3, ant. 22 & 24-seg. & a [[female symbol]] at 2, with 23-seg. ant.
Phaenocarpa ruficeps  [[female symbol]] at 3.
Ph. flavipes  [[male symbol]] at 1.
Ph. sp.? [[male symbol]], with thick nervures & small wings, 24-seg. ant. &c. at 3.

Aspilota rubripes miki:  [[male symbol]] at 2, [[female symbol]] at 1, with 17 & 16-seg. ant. resp. but [[female symbol]] wings more ample than usual.

Dacnusa aphanta?  [[male symbol]], pale legs, 27-seg. ant., at 2.
D. cyclops  [[male symbol]] at 2, 28-seg. ant.
D. cytherea  [[male symbol]] at 3, 31-seg. ant.
D. macrospila? or temula?  [[female symbol]], with 23-seg. ant. & red 2nd tergite, at 3.

Ametria uliginosa  [[female symbol]], at 3, with 25-seg. ant.

Ephedrus validus  [[male symbol]] at 2.
