lunch I spent 3/4 hour in salt-marsh looking for Idiasta maritima, but pass much flooded by recent rain & none seen;  some beetles & 1♀︎ Bracon concolor [?] here only;  then swept around point, both on W. & exposed E. side of same & along S. shore of Rogerstown Creek in 1/4 mile (= 2);  after afternoon tea continued walk along shore of estuary & so back to Portrane, sweeping shore, edges of fields, & principally old gravel "pits", dug out in years past for ballast to place where road runs W. along S. shore of creek (= 3)

Bombus lucorum, agrorum (1), muscorum, derhamellus & lapidarius ♀︎♀︎ seen, but all rare.
