The third excessively hot day (a damp heat!) in succession: therefore did not go out till 7.15 P.M. & then rode along Grand Canal & collected a few insects by tow-path (SE side of canal) below Clondalkin & many 1/4 mile above the bridge at that place (some by side of canal where a belt of reed swamp occurs above 2 locks & most along parallel drain beside & below this). Grand Canal bank, near Clondalkin, Co. DU. 8 till 9.30 P.M. 30 insects mounted & these labelled 13/11/43! - [C'l'd'K' of Co DU AWS. 29.6.41.] Dolerus palustris 1♀︎ swept off Equisetum above locks. Cryptids a few, including Atractodes tenebricosus ♀︎ & a red sp. (not kept); & Idiolispa analis ♀︎. Polyblastus ♂︎, red abd., black femora 28-seg. ant. Catoglyplus fortipes ♀︎: not kept. Nepiera concinna? ♂︎ Campoplex small red sp. Megastylus or Myrianthrus ♂︎ = 321. 29.6.41, cont. Canal, Clondalkin, Co. DU., cont. Bracon cf. fraudator ♂︎, ant 29 B. cf. fraudator? ♀︎, ant 29. small B. communis ♀︎, ant. 26. B. sp? near erraticus, 2 ♂︎♂︎, ant. 36 & 38. Rhogas irregularis frequent; some nearly black; ♂︎ & ♀︎ mtd.
