Dacnusa n. sp. ? 5♂︎♂︎, 1♀︎: see p. 88 ante. ant. 30, 31, 32, 32, 34 & 27. seg.
D. nigro-hispida sp. n. a small black ♂︎ with woolly propodeum & hairy petiole, polished thorax, chenate sternauli, ant. 22-seg.  AWS. 5.2.1944.

Chalcids: several.

Butterflies.  Saw a fresh ♂︎ Clouded Yellow on 3 occasions on dunes, which could all have been the same individual, but probably not.  Saw one Red Admiral!
Common Blue frequently seen.
Wale Butterfly & Meadow Brown abundant.

Cotoneaster microphylla found growing in cleft in rock facing entrance to Killary harbour, [which R.D. Praeger suggests is a bird sown plant from across the Galway side, where he says the plant is frequently "an escape"].

A fine morning, turning dull at mid-day & drizzling at 7.0 P.M.

Only collected for an hour & a half (5.0 to 6.30) sweeping in woods & in birch scrub above the wood.

Bracon conspursus  1♀︎, with curiously yellow marked abdomen, striolate 2nd & heavily punctured 3rd tergite, short terebra.  
sp. cf. AWS. Type! labelled & put in Coll. 26/9/1942!
Colastes braconius  1♀︎.
Opius cingulatus  ♂︎.

Adelura flaviventris  4 very small ♂︎♂︎.
