Opius 9 = O. cf. pallipes - or aemulus var?  2♀︎♀︎, ant. 29.
O. communis 3♂︎♂︎, 2♀︎♀︎, ant. 24-25-seg: a very nice series!
O. funebris??  2♂︎♂︎, one larger, ant. 22, one very small, ant. only 20, both with tergite 1 apparently quite smooth.
Aphaereta major  1 fine ♀︎.
Phaenocarpa conspurcator ♂︎:  not mounted.
Aspilota 2♂︎♂︎ (badly mounted) = A. sp.? ant. 2, with dimple & A. picticornis?, ant. 20, or possibly A. clara.
Dacnusa adducta (2), D. aphanta, D. areolaris, D. longiradialis:  none mounted.
D. [[strikethrough]] alua [[[/strikethrough]] merella group:  1 magnificent ♂︎, with 38-seg. ant.
Dyscritus planiceps  1 lovely ♀︎, nearly all yellow, ant. 26.
Aphidius  8:  none mounted.

Proctos.  6:  2 only mounted = Exallonyx microcerus ♀︎ & red sp. with knife-like abdomen.
Cynipids  5:  one only mounted;  sp. with pallid neuration = 


7th June 1942.

A cool day with strong NW wind & a few slight showers.  Driven by Alex Wallace to Douaghtry from where the three of us went up W. face of Mweelrea to the summit via several small & almost barren cliffs;  had lunch just on S. side of summit in perfect shelter overlooking the more southern tarn & corrie;  collected a few beetles (? 2 species) by the cairn;  wind very strong on summit & mist boiled up over us, but not before we had had perfect views over Killary & the Twelve Bens;  after lunch recrossed summit & went down N. slope to col between Mweelrea & summit N.E. of same & spent some time at cliffs just S. of col & facing NE., but few plants of interest;  next crossed W. face of Mweelrea to ridge
