2nd July 1942.  

A dull warm day, with hot sun at intervals & in places, with strong S-SE wind, blustery in afternoon;  glass falling after a long dry spell, after a shower of rain in some localities early in morning.

Glenasmole, Co. DU. 
1 = under trees, between Moore's house & garden & on hillock between garden & footbridge
2 = in swampy place along course of river below Moore's house & up to rubbish-heap.
3 = under trees at N. end of ford, from rubbish-heap to ford;  & south of ford along water course to tunnel at foot of upper dam: 
3.30 till 6.45 P.M.
