After tea dropped down a couple of hundred feet to the rage of bluffs on N. slope [those referred to by Hart] and spent about half-an-hour examining the plants on them & then straight home across floor of valley, past the habitat for Meconopsis & so back to our bikes.  Had tea about 5 PM & left cliffs at 6 PM, home at 8 PM.

On way up across plateau took an Ichneumon at about 2,500 ft.  Later tried sweeping as we went up onto & over summit of Corrignabinnia & here took two Braconids, three Coleoptera & possibly all brought up by wind from the lowlands.  

Insects taken between 12.30 and 1.0 P.M. in lane by church, Aherlow, Co. ST.

Rhogogaster ancupariae in ditch & another sawfly (Pontania sp. ♀︎) taken flying near Poplar, S. of bridge. [[strikethrough]] Platylabus or [[/strikethrough]] Cryptinid?  ♂︎ (on roadside) ant. 28 = 
Dacnusa senilis ♀︎, ant. 30 in damp ditch near river.

Insects taken on way up Corrignabinnia or actually on summit of latter, Cos. ST & LK.

In lane behind Gorman's saw a ♀︎ Odynerus pictus & a queen wasp (either V. rufa or austriaca);  also ♂︎♂︎ of an Andrena (either fucata or lapponica).

On edge of summit plateau, a little west of The Stone Man, ca. 2,500 ft., & in Co. ST. took a small ich with sucker on the heather:- =

Later tried sweeping, but got no hymenoptera till approaching & on summit of Corrignabinnia, Co. LK., when took the following at from 2650 to summit (2697 ft.):-

Bracon fulvipes?  ♂︎, ant. 32;  very small, but seems to be this sp.
Aspilota (Synaldis) parvicornis  ♀︎, small, ant. 14.
