THE QUEEN'S UNIVERSITY OF BELFAST. 

PARLIAMENTARY BYE-ELECTION 1944.

Voters will kindly note the following points:-
(1) Before completing your Voting Paper please carefully read the instructions sent therewith. 
(2) The name of the voter must be inserted after the pronoun "!." The letters signifying the degree held should be inserted after the words "being a."
(3) An "X" must be marked opposite the name Herbert Quin. It is important to do this, otherwise you will not be voting for the Official Unionist Candidate. 
(4) Before the words "Voter's Signature" the Voter must sign the form and add thereto the address and date of signature. 
(5) The Voting Paper has to be signed in the presence of a witness. A Voter cannot witness his or her own signature.
(6) The witness must fill in the declaration at the foot of the Voting Paper. The first blank should contain the name of the Voter, the second blank should contain the date when the Voting Paper has been signed, and the third blank should contain the witness's signature and his or her ordinary postal address.
(7) Before posting, the Voting Paper should be examined carefully to see that the instructions accompanying it have been complied with, and thus avoid a spoiled vote.
(8)When completed, the Voting Paper should immediately be posted to the Secretary of the Queen's University, Belfast, as any Voting Paper arriving after the 13th December, 1944, will not be included in the count.

SPECIAL NOTICE:
The Voting Papers are sent to all graduates appearing on the Voting Register at the Queen's University of Belfast. If you have not received your Voting Paper, do not lose a moment in writing to the Secretary of the Queen's University, Belfast, stating that your Voting Paper has not arrived, and asking for a fresh Voting Paper to posted to you immediately. If this is not dine at once, you may be too late to have your vote recorded.
