A fine day, dull in forenoon, sunny in afternoon & evening, with strong SW wind, warm. 

Saturday!  In afternoon rode to Grand Canal at Clondalkin, Co. Dublin & collected in two places, as follows:-
1 = reed bed on S. side of canal just above 3rd lock W. of Clondalkin.
2 = wet ditch, &c. S. of canal just W. of dairy farm just 1/2 mile W. of station 1.
