Large White Small White Green - veined White & think 1 Wood White; Speckled Wood, Small Tortoiseshell, Peacock, & 1 Red Admiral seen by Daisy at about 1000 ft. All seen during day.

Beetles common including large purple Click Beetles, which seems early. A few small spp. kept for E.O'M.

Vegetation below 200 ft. very far advanced & much Hawthorn in full flower. Wood Anemones in flower at 1,000 ft. Salix aurita mostly growing over, but some bushes in flower & some not out. Sax. stellaris only in one case showing a flower bud. Rowans in bud but none nearly out, though all in full leaf. Birch just in leaf at 1000 ft. Many fronds of Bracken 1 to 2 ft. high!

One Whitethroat singing between Tallaght & Old Bawn, Cuckoo at head of upper reservoir; Sand Martins numerous at Bohernabreena, & one Swallow. Many House Martins over Dodder near Templeogue. Chiffchaffs & Willow Warblers.
