Found the ants of nest of Myrmica very excited the ☿☿ rushing about in all direction & a large number of ♀︎♀︎ aimlessly wandering round the entrances to the nest, which seems now to be situated under a dense clump of Sempevivum at SW. corner of what we called "George's garden." At first no ♂︎♂︎ seen, but later 2 or 3 only seen & these also wandering about & not taking any notice of the ♀︎♀︎. I therefore assume that the newly emerged ♀︎♀︎ (& some ♂︎♂︎) were being given an "airing" & were not ready to mate. 1♂︎, 1♀︎ and 1☿ mounted!
