Monoctonus caricis? 5 ♂♂ (1 with black tergite 1; others pale! ?immature!) Former & one of latter mtd., ant. both 16.
Aphidius spp. 3 ♂♂; sp.? ant. 18, 18 & 19.

Proctos. 13; 7 mounted.



Chalcids. 8 (? sent to Mr. Doubleday).


Cynipids 2: not mtd.

No Aculeates & no Butterflies seen. Hemiptera common but few species.
Four spp. of snails= H. virgata, H. acuta, Hy. striolata & H. aspersa
One ♀ earwig (Forficula auricularia)

10th Oct 1945. A beautiful day, nearly all sunny, very hot sun, mild with strong SW.W wind, though barometer had fallen very heavily for 48 hours, without rain or gale during this period. Slight rain during previous night or early morning.

In after noon rode to Furry Glen, Phoenix Park, & collected for about an hour as follows:-
Lower part of Furry Glen, below pond & road
Phoenix Park, Co. Du. 3.30-4.30 P.M.
1= Bed of glen for 150 yards below road & pond.
2= around spring-head draining into Furry Glen & near Boundary Wall W. of glen.
[Almost all insects taken at 1 where hymenoptera, especially Proctos. (Serphids) & Dacnusa very abundant: anything of interest taken at 2 will be labelled "2"].

Hemiteles cf. asperta 1 very small ♂.

Atractodes sp. ♀, red on abd., ant. 20.
Stenomacrus [[?]]

Apanteles Fulvipes group ♀= cf. circumscriptus?
