The best day for more than a week, all sunny in afternoon & evening, after a miserable week with dull cold weather & NW, N, & finally NE wind & much rain; wind however still NE & strong. In afternoon took car out & drove to Kilteel, Co. KD; left car 1/2 mile E. of village & castle & walked up road & on to summit of Cupidstown Hill & back to car. On way down collected along roadside from 1200 ft to 1000 ft (= 1), & again near car, at foot of small stream channel S. of road down hill. (= 2)
