7.7.46 cont.   Mullaghcleavaun, WI., cont.

abundant on the W. side of the cove of Mullaghcleavaun, sometimes forming almost the entire vegetation, but seldom flowering.  It was not noted near the place where the queer form of juncella (?) was found:  specimen & plants of latter brought home;  also specimen of the more normal juncella above E end of lough.  Mosses collected for Miss Thomson - mainly above lough & on granite rocks & taken in fruit at arms length in a hole between two boulders while Daisy found a clump of Spachnum beside cairn on summit.

Several beetles, including Agabus collected in rain pool beside cairn, & Agabus arcticus & Gyrinus collected in Cleevaun Lough, alt. +2,200 ft. in which many Corixa seen & thousands of small insects seen floating or drowned.
