A poor day, with rain setting in in afternoon just 10 minutes after we arrived at Louisa Bridge (Royal Canal).  Evening fine later.

Result of 10 minutes sweeping along two path from lock 3/4 mile W. of Louisa Bridge eastwards to Mr. Mitchell's walled in plantation:  3.30 till 3.40 P.M.;  then heavy rain.
