15th Sept. 1946. 

A cold very windy day (W.) with showers, but all sunny in forenoon & all cloudy in afternoon (when we were out); wind dropped in evening.

In afternoon drove to Kilteel, Co. KD., & swept N. & W. side of cornfield & lane, in same place and on 28th April 1946.  Very windy, cold and grass in shelter very wet after a morning shower, but along shelter of hedge & trees on W. side of field many insect swept.
