Sunday 22nd June 1947.

A fine day, much sun, but with keen N. wind.

Spent forenoon sweeping for insects about 1/2 mile below the hotel Clova, on left bank of R. Esk. Swept marshy areas, particularly one full of sedges (C. curta, ampullacea & Goodenowii), in moraine N. of road, & surrounded by old birch trees, which were also swept.
