Trioxys cf. auctus ♀︎, ant. 12 Aphidius 2♂︎♂︎ only: not mtd. Proctos. Very abundant: about 25 in sucker; 5 mtd. = Chalcids & Mymarids frequent: about 12 in sucker: 5 mtd. Much very hot sun & some light clouds; rain again at 8 P.M. Rode on bikes (as petrol scarce!) to Marlfield, Old Bawb, & on to same field above Jobstown where collected on 5th Sept. Here swept for 1 1/2 hours in two areas, but grass very wet & it was not possible to sweep all spots swept on 5th & did not not sweep side of road at all. Arrived 3.30 & left for home at 5 P.M. 1 = S. edge of grazing field (top end) along, road from Marlfield. 2 = E. edge of same field, where drier but windy. Pasture Field above (S. of) Jobstown, Co. [55 mounted from 1 & these labelled 22.2.1953.] Cryptinids 18: only 2 mounted = Phygadeuonid ♂︎, ant. 21 Hemiteles areator group ♀︎, ant. 21 [No Pimplini!] Stenomacrus curvicaudatus 4♂︎♂︎, ant. all 25, variable but all with punctured propodeum; one without an areolet. St. intermedius ♂︎, ant. 31. St. cf. morionellus ♂︎, ant. 24. St. crassicornis = minutus? miki (non Thoms!) large ♀︎, ant. 18. Bassus tricinctus ♂︎ & Homocidus pulcher ♂︎: neither mtd.
