14th Oct. 1949.

Received some Ichneumonidae & Braconidae from Mr. A. Rashleigh, Cliff Ho., Killiney, Co. Dublin, comprisng a series of Macrocentrus 30 ♀︎♀︎ bred out of a wad of cocoon covered with a felty-webb of dirty white colour, containing what may be the head capsule of the host larva;  3♀︎♀︎ of large Pimpla instigator;  Ophion;  1♀︎ Paniscus;  & one smaller ♀︎ of Paniscus.  The Ichs not taken taken in the house, but I have received no details regarding dates of capture, though I think quite recent by their condition.


13-15th Oct.

♂︎ wasps still plentiful in front & back gardens of 14 Clareville Rd.!  Rain on aft. of 15th, gale & sun in forenoon.
