1st June 1950.  

A glorious sunny day!  Very warm but with strong E. wind.  J.F. Perkins had came from London the previous evening & Dr. Day called & drove us all to Ilsington & we spent the forenoon in Ilsington Wood (where we were on 30th May) & the afternoon in Boswell's Wood (as on 28th May). 

Very few Parasitica to be had & J.F. Perkins reported that so it is everywhere in S. of England this year.  Aculeates plentiful at Wood Spurge at top of Ilsington Wood as on 30th.  Also some Aculeates taken in sandpit W. of Ilsington.

Sand-pit on edge od Duddle Heath and Ilsington Wood, Dorset = (1) 1.6.50.  11.30 till 1.30 P.M.
