As accommodation is limited members who [[?]] advised to apply at once on receipt of this circular.  Members of the Isle of Man N.H. & A.S. will join with the B.N.F.C. on this excursion.


September 9th       WOODBURN GLEN & CARRICKFERGUS.
Conductors: Mr. H.S. Black & Mr. W. J. Weatherup.

Meet at Smithfield Bus station in time for 3 p.m. bus to Ballycarry.  Take own ticket, l/7d. single fare, to Woodburn Corner, whence party will walk up through Woodburn Glen which is of botanical and geological interest.  Afterwards the party will walk about 1 1/2 miles into Carrickfergus to visit the Castle.  Members who desire tea in Carrickfergus should apply not later than September 1st to Mr. W. J. Weatherup who will advise them if tea can be arranged. Return transport from Carrickfergus is available as follows:-
Rail: 7.39, 8.0, 8.28, 8.55 p.m.
Bus. 7.8, 7.31, 7.58, 8.23, 8.40, 9.8 p.m.
Excursion Fee 6d.


September 30th       HILLSBOROUGH
Conductors: Miss A. F. Bolton & Rev. J. Barry.

Meet at Smithfield Bus Station in time for 2.15 p.m. service bus to Hillsborough.  Take own ticket, return fare 2/10d.  Return buses at 6.20, 6.49, 7.39, 8.9 p.m. from Hillsborough.  The excursion will be of historical interest, including the Parish Church, Old Fort, Sir Hamilton Harty's House. Excursion fee 6d. 


October 14th.  FUNGUS FORAY, Conductor: Mr. J. McK. Moon.

Members will be advised of arrangements later.

NOTE: 1) CATERING WILL NOT BE ARRANGED IN CONNECTION WITH ANY DAY OR AFTERNOON EXCURSIONS EXCEPT WHERE OTHERWISE STATED ABOVE. MEMBERS USUALLY BRING SANDWICHES. 

2) THE DATE OF THE ANNUAL CONVERSAZIONE HAS BEEN PROVISIONALLY FIXED FOR TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17TH.
