7th June 1951.

A perfect day: all sunny, E. wind. Spent forenoon mounting previous catch (Graham at T.C.D.) & afternoon & evening selecting specimens of Braconids for Graham to to take to Lund in Sept. & compare with Thomson's types.

8th. June

Another perfect day. Mounted insects & fed snails in forenoon; in afternoon went to Museum with Graham to see some things in Haliday Coll. He left at 6.30 pm to catch mail Boat & return to Oxford.

9th. June.

Misty morning & drizzle set in about 1.30 P.M.; turned to heavy rain at 3 P.M.; & drizzled again in evening. Rain very nice for garden & country, but this being Saturday very hard luck on all sportsmen after the fine week.

A.M. Gwynn spent evening with us after returning from 2 years ([[strikethrough]] summers! [[/strikethrough]]) in Antarctic on Macquarie & Heard Islands with Australian expeditionary parties.
