25th July 1951 A warm day with gentle NW. breeze, dull in afternoon & almost drizzling but vegetation dry. In afternoon drove to Glenasmole & walked to head of upper reservoir & swept edge of lake there - now left dry by drop of 4 or 5 feet in water level. Insects very plentiful! [8 labelled 25.10.51 43 mounted but 12 utterly destroyed & others damaged by my sleeve later: remaining 31 labelled on 11.3.52]

Head of upper reservoir, Glenasmole, Co. DU. Dolerus palustris frequent about Equisetum limosum not mtd.
