B. lucorum ♂︎♂︎, fresh ♀︎, ☿☿ seen B. muscorum 1 faded ♂︎ on 29th; fresh ♂︎ on 30th on lavender. B. agrorum ♂︎♂︎ & ☿☿. B. lapidarius ☿☿ on Campanula Megachile centurcularis & willoughbiella ♀︎♀︎. Halictus sp. near smeathmanellus ♂︎♂︎ & ♀︎♀︎. Hylaeus communis ♂︎♂︎ & ♀︎♀︎. Spilomena troglodytes at Campanula 8 P.M. on 30th. Pteronidea cf. mysotidis ♀︎ taken on window! 280.) 31st July 1951. A warm sultry day, with thunder-showers about in late afternoon. In afternoon drove to Glenasmole & walked up to head of upper reservoir (where collected on 25th) to try to get more specimens of Dacnusa ampliator, 3 of which taken on 25th by sweeping flower-heads of Cow Parsnip & which with most of the other small things taken on the same occasion were destroyed [[strikethrough]] by some insect the night [[/strikethrough]] by my sleeve after being mounted & while the cards on which they were mounted were lying on my work-table in drawing room! Glenasmole, Co. DU. [3 labelled 25.10.1951! 22 labelled 6.3.'52!] Crabro dimidiatus ♂︎ - legs seem rather dark! Not mtd. Sirex gigas a small ♀︎ taken by Daisy on freshly felled Scots Pine loaded with others on a lorry ready for removal! Ichneumon spp. several large black & yellow ♂︎♂︎ seen: none taken. Alomyia debellator ♂︎ seen: not taken. Cryptinids 4 (3♂︎♂︎, 1 small ♀︎): none mtd. Homocidus pectoratorius 1 large ♀︎: not mtd. Mesoleius sp. ♀︎: ant. 36. Porizonid ♂︎: not mtd. Campoplegids 3 (1♂︎, 2♀︎♀︎): none mtd.
