31st July 1951.

A warm sultry day, with thunder-showers about in late afternoon. In afternoon drove to Glenasmole & walked up to head of upper reservoir (where collected on 25th) to try to get more specimens of Dacnusa ampliator, 3 of which taken on 25th by sweeping flower-heads of Cow Parsnip & which with most of the other small things taken on the same occasion were destroyed [[strikethrough]] by some insect the night [[/strikethrough]] by my sleeve after being mounted & while the cards on which they were mounted were lying on my work-table in drawing room!
