A nice day after a good deal of rain & cloudy skies. Very wet on Bank Holiday (6th). Drove to Glenasmole, arriving at middle lodge at 10.30 A.M. & walked up to Glassamucky bog & spent an hour loking unsuccessfully for Malaxis paludosa, but on return journey (4.30 P.M.) Daisy found one single plant just coming into flower & only about 20 yards from the hayfield wall & about 80-100 yards S. of the "gate" on to bog. Then went on up the Slade Brook, had lunch & collected by sweeping off Salix, Birch, &c. till nearly 4 P.M.
