After a wet night a misty morning with slight drizzle till 1 P.M., then a heavy shower followed by beautiful afternoon: rain again at night.

H.E. Green, A.M. Gwynne, L.H. Williams & I took 9.35 bus to Edramucky & walked up to Lochan-na-Lairige & spent day (11 AM. till 4.15 PM) on the cliffs. Beginning where we left off on 30th June we worked steadily northwards & saw acres of alpines on the cliffs. These included Trollius, Draba incana, Arabis hirsuta, Cochlearia "alpina", Epilobus alsinifolium, Saxifraga hypnoides, aezoides, stellaris (low down only!), Dryas octopetala, Rubus saxatilis, Thalictrum minus (s.l.), Woodsia alpina,
